Accomplishing the true meaning of this quote is my mission with each young athlete that I have the privilege to train as they meet their full potential. With over 35 years of coaching and training experience, I have the ability to not only improve each athlete's physical performance but I also create a connection with the athletes that help them strive to put forth their best effort.
I am originally from Oakland California, where I attended Oakland Technical High School and Cal State Hayward. After high school, I voluntarily enlisted in the United States Air Force and was trained as a Military Police Officer. After my tour of duty at Hickam Air Force Base in Oahu, Hawaii, I journeyed back home to California to start coaching youth sports in 1982. In 1984, I was asked to coach the freshman basketball and baseball teams at James Logan High School in Union City, California. I was excited about this opportunity and our team went on to win eight years consecutive league championships in both sports! In 1992, I decided to go back to school to become certified as an orthopedic assistant because I felt this certification would ensure that I could benefit the athletes I trained in the most well-rounded way. After graduation, I acquired a job that brought me to the Pacific Northwest at the University of Washington Medical Center. For 14 years, I had the benefit of working with some of the premier sports doctors and athletes in the country.
With my gained knowledge and experience I once again started individually training college and youth athletes. Through my success as a trainer, in 2000 I was recruited by Nike to scout and select Northwest athletes to train in football and basketball to ensure they met and exceeded their desired goals. In 2015 I made the decision to leave Nike to be able to have more time to focus on our local communities athletes. I have continued to guide and assist many successful athletes to reach dreams that they never even thought possible. I am looking forward to not only helping more local athletes realize their targeted ambition but to make bonds that last a lifetime.
