YSP Players of the Week September 14th, 2019
September is coming to a close and we are well underway in the youth football season! As I stated last week, I will be highlighting players on the YSP blog that show skill and determination to meet their highest potential. This week I spotted these four athletes that deserve high accolades! Some of these young men have been on my radar and are still proving to be leaders in their respective age groups as the season progresses.
Jayshon Limar, RB,LB
Lake Stevens Bantam
Jayshon dominated the field with 4 carries for 120 yards and 2 touchdowns. On the defensive side of the ball, he had a 30-yard interception for a touchdown proving he is a threat both ways.
Hayden Villasenor, RB
Lake Stevens Seniors
Hayden had 9 rushes totaling 148 yards as well as 115 receiving yards, justifying his spot on this list. He had an extraordinary game scoring a total of 5 touchdowns.
Blake Springer, QB
Monroe Seniors
Blake displayed his accuracy and strong arm all over the field. He totaled over 200 passing yards, which would have been a lot more if there weren't so many dropped balls.
Jordan Welsh, LB
Stanwood Juniors
Jordan was a force to be reckoned with all over the field. He had multiple solo tackles and assisted in many more. He was always eager to be in the game and around the action contributing to the success of his team.
The third game in the 2019 North Sound Junior Football League season is in the books and I am looking forward to seeing more players compete and reach their goals on Saturday!
